West Virginia Flooding

Executive Director Frank Ruffatto and Communications Manager Kelli Ruffatto visited Clendenin, WV to do a brief assessment to see how partner parish Redeemer Lutheran Church in Charleston might be of most help. They witnessed extensive damage and ministered to a few affected residents. Rev. Ruffatto decided to recommend to Redeemer that specialized relief organizations are functionally best prepared to respond with "boots on the ground" during the first stages of crisis recovery. As a result, Redeemer has chosen to support the flood victims by filling "Flood Buckets" with cleaning supplies and offering them to be distributed through the Kanawha County Emergency Management team with which Rev. Ruffatto is now closely associated. The parish has also decided to focus support on one family to have a more impactful result.
